Chronice pain and Sleepyness

I'm a healthy 25 y/o female that has been dealing with chronic back pain for 11 years.  Since the back pain started after an accident i have been getting more and more tired.  I have trouble staying awake at work, thinking, driving and getting off the couch in general.  on or off depression meds i feel exactly the same.  I do not take pain meds.

I had a sleep study done last year that showed over 200 spontaneous arousal over 8 hrs.  My MSL is a 6. No apnea, no sleep stage problems, no cataplexy.  everything was normal.  I work the normal day shift and always have.

I take 200 mg of provigil now, but i'm still so tired.  No one has been able to tell me why i am so tired.
does anyone know what is wrong with me?

I do not know if i had a head injury.  No one saw the accident happen and I'm not sure if i lost time.  I've had head CTs, but nothing has ever come up, but i have been told because i cant have contrast they wont see anything.

I sleep from 10pm-6:45am 5 days a week and more on weekends.

I also have a history of migraines that started about 2 yrs after the accident, but were called analgesic rebound headaches.  I have not taken pain meds other than advil since then.  Its now been 10 years.

Hi there, knowing only what I've read about your symptoms, I'm wondering, did you have any sort of head injury re: your accident?

Your your meds might need to be tweaked. Some depression meds cause more drowsiness than others.

Also, it may just be the ongoing fatigue of dealing with chronic pain. Are you getting enough sleep at night? Do you have a regular sleep schedule?
