Dreaming a lot and remembering every detail. Exhausting! Anyone?

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I joined because I have some problems with the sleeping. So, I have one question:
I dream a lot lately and I remember everything from my dreams, every detail, so I was wondering is that normal or I have some problem? I dream a lot, but i the morning I used to remember only some things and it was difficult to remember all the things, but now I remember everything and I can talk about my dream for example two days after I dreamed it, it's still fresh with all the details... It's a problem for me because I am very busy with my job and postgraduate studies and with usual things that life consists of and remembering all the dreams makes me so exhausted. because it's a whole new world that I am aware or and I think of and that's too much for one brain!
Please write if anyone has these kind of problem or if anyone knows something about it. I will appreciate it!

I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME SYMPTOMS! I remember every person, even their clothes, I remember every single word and when I tell the dream to someone I feel like I have really lived it, it satrted about 2 weeks ago and I agree with you

I should add a bit more detail.  You don't need to get messed right up. In fact that will have a negative effect on your sleep. Just just enough to get relaxed.  If you treat it like any other medicine it may help. Good luck

Well strange as it may be I can suggest something that can help for a night.   I find that smoking pot before going to bed results in waking up without dreams.  Again just a suggestion for an occasional relief.

Thank You so much for your answer!

I am stressed a lot for some time because a lot of things happend in the last year (moved to new place, a lot of work, preparing master thesis, thinking about marriage and pregnancy and family issues) and I know that it effects on the sleeping too.
I practise Yoga in daily life, so that helps a lot and I try to create a more peaceful sleeping atmosphere. One big problem is that my neghbours are very, very loud all the time, so we can hear them in our home too sometimes and that's very disturbing and it effects on the sleeping too...

Thank You again!

Best regards!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, welcome to the forum, your symptoms are suggestive of dream anxiety disorder, which is a sleep disorder characterized by frequent vivid dreams. It can occur normally in persons but in this disorder it occurs at higher frequency.

This disorder can be managed by self by alleviating the home and personal life related stress particularly before going to bed.  A regular fitness routine, Yoga and meditation can also help to eliminate stress and create a more peaceful sleeping atmosphere and provides a relaxed state of mind. Psychotherapy can also help you to learn how to cope and deal with the various stressors in your life.

Do not worry, follow the above mentioned methods and the symptoms will alleviate soon. I suggest you to consult psychiatrist. Take care and regards.
