HE WONT WAKE UP!!!

At first I thought this was a joke but I don't think it is anymore... My boyfriend usually goes to bed before I do each night at around 10 pm. I usually go to bed around 2 am. Well every night when I'm getting ready to go to bed my boyfriend is laying right in the middle of the bed (full size) so there isn't much room for me. I try to wake him up and tell him to scoot over for me but he will not move!!! He will not wake up no matter what i do!!! I've tried slapping him in the face punching him in the back, screaming in his ear (Im suprised the neighbors havn't called the cops) But nothing I do can wake him up. So usually I have to just wait for him to roll over in his sleep which can take up to an hour or I just fall asleep laying halfway off the bed. Does anybody know whats going on with him? Could this be a form of Sleep apnea or sleep paralysis?

Hello.

This is definitely not sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis occurs when a person is either falling asleep or coming out of sleep. And the person has dreams and other experiences which can be frightening, mostly.

Sleep apnea is a condition where a person stops breathing for a short span of time (usually 10 seconds or so). Snoring is also observed. But sleep apnea does not allow a person to have deep sleep.

He may just be normal. It is just that his deep sleep is not getting disturbed by outer stimuli. Try keeping a pillow in the center of the bed when he goes to sleep and ask him not to disturb it. You can later on remove the pillow.

Regards
