Hello and hope you are doing well.
Many times parents tend to get stressed that the child is not sleeping well and communicate this anxiety to the child which forms a vicious cycle, so relax and let bedtime be a pleasant experience then a task which needs to be completed, tell her good relaxing stories or let her read good books prior to sleeping. Have an open discussion with your child and help her with any issues that might be troubling her. Ensure to see she plays adequately during the day, as good exercise promotes good sleep. Always make the bedroom environment very cool, dark and cozy like a cave, cause bats are super snoozers and they sleep in caves.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
you know what my daughter is 9 about to be 10, and me and her father are no longer together, and she is scared to sleep by herself also because she says her father makes her watch scary movies and she has bad dreams and she is afraid to fall asleep. She slept with me for years, but she is to old to sleep with me, but when she is with me, i make her sleep by herself, and trust me, i go through hell!!! when she is with her father he lets her sleep with him, so what the heck can I do when he does something differenly than i do....She will never be able to sleep byher self. Another thing is my daughter does not want to wake up in the mornings cause she is soooo tired for not going to sleep, but I know what I am doing wrong there, leaving the tv on to get her to go to sleep! I know thats wrong! Plus recently she was dignosed with adhd....I feel like its my fault!!!!! any suggestions

Apparently asthma is a possible cause. And asthma can come from food allergies, too.
You should talk to her pediatrician. You need to find out if she has a severe case of anxiety or some other condition causing the restlessness. I don't know if they do sleep studies on kids or not. She could easily have a food allergy - the symptoms from food allergies can be weird like this.
