Is there anything I can do to stop lucid nightmares ?

Every few months I have this nightmare it is so real I feel and hear everything and it feels like real life and I Dont know to wake myself up
I am on this farmland it starts in this house I'm in be and wake up from this loud noise I check the house go outside and feel this presence it's dark and seems like it wants to hurt me next thing I know I'm running and hiding in any place I can in pig pens in the barn and this thing always seems to find me and it ends up grabbing me and I am so scared I can't see what it is or who it is but I always end up waking up scared out of my mind and can never get back to sleep this is the short version anyway
Can anyone help me on figuring out why this happens to me I can't handle these dreams anymore

Can you affect your environment during this dream? Have you tried asking what it wants as you fall asleep? Ask it if you could play a different game since this one is annoying.

I actually found an article about this the other day. Nightmares alone can be diagnosed as a sleeping disorder if you can meet with a doctor who's familiar with them. I don't know if you have any history of sleeping disorders or PTSD but they can also contribute.

What you're experiencing doesn't really sound like a lucid dream though. In a lucid dream you'd be able to at least control your movements but it sounds like you're just reliving the same nightmare again and again, even if it is very life-like.

I would just go ahead and get a sleep study test. You may could have Sleep Disorder such as REM Behavior Disorder which means that you have muscle movement while in stage REM sleep. Which is not normal. You can ask your physician for a referral to a sleep clinic.
