Paralyzed while sleeping

Since I was a child, and until now (27years old) about once every three months or maybe more, I will have a frightening experience while sleeping.  Once I'm asleep, sometimes it feels like my head will get really heavy and there will be a deep low humming sound in my head or maybe a train sound that seems to paralyze my entire body, however once this feeling of heaviness occurs, I wake up internally, but my eyes are not open and I can hear everything going on around me.  At that point I seem to be conscious but unable to open my eyes or even move.  I then have to force myself fully awake by jerking my entire body.  And then, if I happen to fall right back to sleep, I will go into the exact same state again and jerk myself awake once again.  It is quite starling and frightning.  It kinda reminds me of what being in a coma might feel like.  Can anyone tell me what this is and is it possible not to be able to wake up from it, what ever "it" is?

Ok when I was about 7 this weird thing happened to me for weeks and I would like to know what it is. I would lay in bed awake looking at the ceiling, because I wasn't able to sleep. Eventually at a certain point in the night I would start seeing these things. They looked like little monsters but they all looked different, when I closed my eyes they were still there. I was so scared I couldn't move. Eventually I mustered up my courage and went to my mom's room. I layed down with her but I still couldn't go to sleep. One night I found out if I turned on the light they would go away. Another night I slept on the couch while my dad was on the other one. I started singing Mr. Roger's neighborhood and the started to die. Then these tornados formed and sucked up the bodies and spit them out healthy again. I haven't seen them ever again but I would really like to know why I saw them. If anyone has an explanation I would be glad to hear it.

hello my name is Nathan, i am 16, last night at 4 o'clock i was awaken after feeling a heavy force inside me or on me, i was unable to open my eyes or move for a second but i ignored it and went back to sleep, next i was woken to feeling something in front of me speaking not English, i was again not able to move or open my eyes but for what felt like much longer, i wrote down what happen and what i heard right after. when i wrote in what i heard in multiple ways and multiple langues until i found it, in Latin it means less then the hope  of god. its only what i could remember but this is something at least.i am scared and i f any one has anything that could help me please email me at ***@****

Your experience is very simpler to what I've been experiencing for the last two years. Unfortunately I do not have a pet to let me know something is actually present. At one point thought I was losing my mind until my son told me he heard something moving around in my room one evening while I was out and went to investigate with pistol in hand but he did not see anything disturbing. I Read about this sleep paralysis and thought that may be the problem but now have my doubts. Last night while attempting to go into a deep sleep I felt a slap on my right hand and then saw an old woman holding a child - she looked very old and could hear myself shouting at this image to get out of my house but she walked to the other side of my room - then I woke up with my right hand stinging and feeling very angry. I immediately cited Psalm 23 and felt calmness. I feel a little better knowing I’m not the only person going through these strange and frightening experiences.
