Sleep Aids

For about 3 years I took trazadone to help me sleep.  After a while it started to lose its effectiveness, and got to the point where its side effects outweighed its benefits and so I was switched to ambien.  I did great with ambien, but my insurance limits it...so for the time I was allowed, I split the dose and even slept well with 5mg....now that's no longer an option because of my insurance, so my doctor put me on temazepam 30mg, but it simply doesn't do anything for me.  Other than the temazepm, I currently take Adderall, Zyrtec and Ranitidine.  I never take my last dose of Adderall later than 5pm.  I would appreciate any advice.

I had sleep issues way before I started the Adderall.  I take three doses a day, which would make having the third dose earlier than that difficult, and I need the Adderall at night for when study.  I take 30mg in the morning, 30mg around noon, the last dose is only 10mg.

Adderall is probably the cause of your problems. I would try to take it as early as possible before bed time. I think 5 is still pretty late since the half life can last a while. You may also want to reduce the dose of your last pill.
