Head aches and nonstop sleeping

For the past 2 weeks I have had a headache everyday. It's not all day long it just comes and goes.  Also I have been sleeping for 12 hours or more a day.  I can't seem to open my eyes when my husband tries to wake me up.  It feels like there are weights on my eyes and when I do get them open I can focus on anything.  I was in a car accident almost 3 years ago where I had 3 minor hemorrhages on my brain.  I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.  I have no idea what is causing this and no one seems to take me seriously about it.  I am only taking aspirin for my headaches and am not on any medication.

Hi, thanks for your thoughts and sorry to hear about your accident. You would be going through the stress due to accident and may be the unintentionally worrying about the sad happening. Well its good you are thinking of to do some exercise, also have hot shower and listen to soft music before going to bed, these can be soothing to mind and body so it may be of some help. Few sessions of massage therapy can be beneficial. Mild dose of alprax also can be tried. Hope you get rid of your symptoms soon. Do post your thoughts. Take care.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I don't see why you could not wake up early mornings usually. Do your kids disturb your sleep at night frequently or do you take any medications at bed time. You need to make up your mind to get up regularly and get involved in your daily morning routines actively. Do your kid go to school?, don't keep thinking about any of your problems and prolong your sleeping time. Be early to bed and do raise early. You may take some time but iam sure you will do. If you sense no urgency seeing your doctor right now, you can do at your convinience. Few tips to sleep -
Go to sleep and wake up at same time every day, even on weekends which helps develop a sleep-wake rhythm.
Avoid caffeine contained in tea, cola, and chocolate late in the day.
A heavy meal or spicy foods before bedtime can lead to nighttime discomfort, and fluids can require disruptive trips to the bathroom. So light snack, can help you sleep better.
Regular exercise has been shown to improve sleep.
Create a relaxing bedtime routine like - Read a book, listen to music, practice relaxation techniques, take a warm bath, keep temperature in your bedroom at a comfortable level as  extremes can disrupt your sleep.
Minimize distractions, such as noisy clocks, bright lights, and uncomfortable clothing or bedding.
Hope you get some relief. Keep posting your thoughts.Take care.

HI, were you completely resolved of your brain hemorrhages? Did you do a repeat CT scan Brain once you felt fully well. One cannot rule out the possibility if there is some kind of pressure effects in brain causing continuous headaches. Migraines can be at time equally bothering. You need to say if are having sleep in day time also. How many hours you used to sleep early and what was your routine. Obstructive sleep apnea could be a reason for you to wake up frequently in order to regain your breath—sometimes resulting in number of awakenings per night, many  times you may not even be aware of it ending up having excessive daytime sleep because of fatigue, feeling unrefreshed after sleeping, and daytime sleep attacks (nodding off at inappropriate or unexpected moments) at your workplace. Added to all these the stress you are going through can be a trigger. Modafinil can be used for the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness caused by obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome and shift-work sleep disorder. It would be better to consult your doctor before you chose to take any drug for an evaluation and repeat CT scan of head. Keep updating your thoughts in this section. Take care.

I also forgot to mention that I have no energy and I always feel drained. I never feel "good". I always feel like I'm getting over the flu or some other illness.  Just drained.
