MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, your symptoms are suggestive of Nightmare disorder, or dream anxiety disorder, which is a sleep disorder characterized by frequent nightmares or vivid dreams. Nightmare can be defined type of a dream wherein the individuals will be left in a situation where it jeopardizes their life or personal safety, usually occur during the second half of the sleeping process, called the REM stage.

It can occur normally in persons but in this disorder it occurs at higher frequency. That is why you are reluctant to sleep and will affect your day to day activities.

This disorder can be managed by self by alleviating the home and personal life related stress particularly before going to bed.  A regular fitness routine, Yoga and meditation can also help to eliminate stress and create a more peaceful sleeping atmosphere and provides a relaxed state of mind. Psychotherapy can also help you to learn how to cope and deal with the various stressors in your life.

Do not worry, follow the above mentioned methods and the symptoms will alleviate soon. I suggest you to consult psychiatrist. Take care and regards.

Hello,

I have the same problem, so I joined this forum to share experiences.
I dream a lot and I remember everything! And the dreams are so strange... That's so exhausting because I am aware of whole another world and that's too much for one brain! I am not well-rested and it's more difficult to do work and everyday responsabilities, because, like you said, my mind is full of useless things from the dreams!
I am very worried because I don't sleep like it should at night, my brain doesn't rests and that scares me! Throught sleeping the whole body revitalizes and if there isn't helathy night sleep, than that's not good for the health.
I posted my problem on the forum and I got some answers from some members, you can find them on the forum and read them, maybe they can be of some help. The main point is that you should try to relax as much as you can and to create "sleeping atmosphere" in wich you will feel pleasent and comfortable, without noise and some other kind of disturbance. I exercise Yoga in daily life and that helpes a lot with the stress and i makes you feel more pizitive energized and calm, so maybe you should try some types of relaxation that is similar to this. I wasn't dreaming like this from always. I have a lot of work in the period and I am preparing master thesis, I moved to another apartment ( I have very, very noisy neighbours) and not so good "woman health", a lot of things are going on in my life at this point, so I am very stressed and that reflects when you are relaxed the most, and that's when you sleep. The whole stress is situated there in my case. I try to relax more and to avoyd stress, so I hope that this stage will go away as quickly as possible, because I can't take it anymore, it's so exhausted and unhealthy!
Also, read this: Rapid eye movement sleep, or REM sleep, accounts for 20%–25% of total sleep time in most human adults. The criteria for REM sleep include rapid eye movements as well as a rapid low-voltage EEG. Most memorable dreaming occurs in this stage. At least in mammals, a descending muscular atonia  is seen. Such paralysis may be necessary to protect organisms from self-damage through physically acting out scenes from the often-vivid dreams that occur during this stage.
I hope that my post will be of some help, at least in sharing experiences...
And I hope that everything is going to be fine and you will have your good sleep, without so much dreams to worry about!
Try to relax and take care!
