please don't judge.. help :(

i'm 32 weeks pregnant, and i dont smoke alot, i usually smoke an electric cig to get the nicotine but those things are a piece of crap and go out in like 2 days. so when i dont have that ill smoke a half cig or take a couple hits off a friend. so in total maybe 2 cigs every other day. i cant help it im doing this pregnancy all alone, with the stress of my fiance gone in florida for school, and have absolutely nothing to do. my friends droppd off the face of the earth when i got prego, so im very loney as well. and ive read on other forums girls who still smoke 2 packs a day and theyre pregnant. i just need reassurance i'm not alone. and i would quit in a heartbeat, but the stress takes its toll on me. im 21 and still get treated like a 12 year old by his family. i don't think im doing too bad but i still always feel so guilty when i take a hit. at all my dr appointments my babies heartbeats are perfect & he's growing perfectly and moves around alot.

again no judging or being mean, i just would like to know of anyone who smoked (more than me) during their pregnancy. i'm not looking for an excuse to smoke, i'm not going to smoke any more than i already do.

dude, just get an abortion now. if you're still smoking, your subconscious prefers the cigarettes to the responsibility of a child.

i don't mean to draw out the pro-lifers and religious zealots, but i recommend a safe abortion. cuz **** IT if no one is going to support you, why complicate the **** out of your life?

actually, i recommend both; get an abortion and ween off cigarettes. i hope i have the craziest suggestion (i honestly don't give a **** what you do about this, just decide soon. no need to carry a pregnancy AND smoke)

I'm 23 wks pregnant I still smoke but not nearly as much as I did before I got pregnant.  My doctor said to quit gradually or it will put to much stress on the baby and myself. Of course I feel bad since my baby doesn't have a choice in the matter, the last time I quit cold turkey my baby was born stillborn, and I'm  just scared it might happen again. I smoked with my daughter and she came out perfect as can be. So I'm  just going to do what my doctor says and keep on buying baby things :-)

Try to think of it like this, you don't have to quit forever, after you deliver your healthly baby if you choose to smoke than you have free will and can do so. But while your sharing everything you take in with your baby, just stop the nicotine & chemicals for now! You will be glad you did and feel like a better stronger person for doing so. I hope you choose to quit for the baby. Good luck to you. Do what you think is right.

It comes down to a single decision you have to make for two people.  One of those people doesn't get a vote.  Do you love you baby more, or do you love your occasional puff of cigarettes more?  You choose.  You're baby will have live with whatever your choice is.

My birth mother smoked during her pregnancy with me.  I was born with under developed lungs and spend the first 10 days of my life in an oxygen tent.  I grew up with all kinds of respiratory issues including severe asthma and even at the age of 45 I am prone to all kinds of respiratory issues.  (I seldom get the flu.... I get pneumonia on a regular basis.)

AT 2 cigarettes every other day, why not just quit?  Instead of smoking, go for a walk... listen to an ipod...

You deserve this and your unborn baby deserves the best chance YOU can give it.....  I guarantee that you are doing something to that baby.  There isn't a doctor in the world that advocates smoking through a pregnancy.

I wish you strength to stop....
