Does 1 year smoking affects

Hello friends, my name is abhishek. I started smoking 6 Years back. but left soon for few months, then started and then left for 2 years. after that I used to smoke occasionally, like in parties or weekends, or with my friends. Then, 1 Year back I had a break up with my girl friend, I started a vulnurable smoking. I continous smoked for 6 months, but thank god..... just because of my will power I left it. Now I don't smoke at all........ but now sometimes I feel pain in the middle of my chest, whenever I laugh, I lie on the bed, I get up in the morning, or I sneeze, I get dry, and black coloured cough. I am scared now. Inspite of giving up that f****** thing I am having some trouble. So plzzzzz suggest me what to do....... will this affect my health or I will have some problems in the future.....Please tell me something.....

Sorry. I just noticed the heading for your question. If you have only smoked for one year it would be unusual for that to produce serious symptoms, especially since your habit was on-again, off-again.

All in all you have not been smoking that long, maybe three years. That does not mean that the pain in your chest is not related to smoking, but is more likely due to some other cause. Go to your doctor and have him examine you. It could be angina, for instance.
