Instead of beating yourself about the head and shoulders for you inability to stop smoking, why don't you take a more moderate approach to quitting. Cut back very slowly. I know people who have done this and it works. There are some, however, who cannot stop completely, but wind up smoking two or three cigarettes a day. That is a huge improvement over chain smoking. It may well be the absolutist approach that is keeping you from stopping.
Good luck to you and when you are ready, I'm going to be here : )

I think it is wise to concentrate on losing the weight first then quit smoking... cause I cant quit smoking and lose weight but i can do it vise versa.
Also I will def. check out whyquit for motivation!!!
Thanks again and God Bless
It can be frustrating, especially when we want to reinvent ourselves and we want it done yesterday!
I'm going to put this out there and it may be food for thought (no pun intended), but smoking was a way for me to control my food intake.....reach for a smoke instead of food.
Since you have quit and gone back, you would really benefit from reading the articles at whyquit.com
It's so important to understand why it is we smoke and to try to take back control of our lives.
Remember, we are here for you.
Thanks so much for your help your right I know I should only do one thing at a time, but its hard cause I remember how it felt before when I quit for a little while and after a while I felt so good and had so much energy. But I just dont want to have to go through withdraws =( I know I cant have my cake and eat it too but DAMMIT I want to!! LOL
I hear you,,,,I think we all react(ed) that way when we quit but the good news is that it's over in 72 hours.
Since you are also starting a weight loss program you might want to wait a bit before quitting. Why not concentrate on the one thing and then perhaps you can prepare yourself for the quit by reading some articles at whyquit.com. It's an excellent site to learn about addiction, triggers, all the answers to any questions you might have.
Okay, Chantix....comsidering your age, why not try cold turkey first. Chantix and youth do not mix.... I used it to quit and it worked for me. I had very few side effects, but according to many, I am one of the lucky ones.
I wish you luck and we are here fot support if you should need some : )
