Well, depends on who you ask I guess. I hv tlked to some that swear by it and others who swear at it! Just do your research before you make up your mind.
Champix is relatively safe. It is a drug, so yes there are side effects. It can interact with any medication you are currently taking and if you have a history of suicide, depression, or other psychological illnesses you really need to discuss this with a doctor. One of my sisters friend's had a reaction to the drug that caused insomnia, hallucinations, and paranoia. However, her reaction was very severe, is apparently rather rare, and she already had documented cases of psychiatric problems. On the other hand, my sister was able to take the drug with no side effects and really benefited from it. I don't know if the drug has been shown to cause problems or hasn't been tested but I know it cannot be used in the US if someone is pregnant or nursing.
