Sorry that you are having such a rough time! I didn't have any side effects from Chantix and I took it for a month and a half. Oh, yes, after the 1st month I did have a bit of an upset stomach but truly nothing serious.
So sorry to hear of your miscarriage : ( Maybe you should send an e-mail to the makers of chantix and see if they can give you an estimate of how long your symptons should last.
Congrats on your quit and hang in there : )

I meant to address you as well in the above post, sheesh, I'm spacin this morning.
Anyway, congrats on your one year quit. That's just amazing. You should be so proud of yourself. My sister-in-law quit years ago and I asked her how long the cravings and mood swings lasted for her and she said about a year so it sounds like maybe things are moving along normally for you. Of course, see your doctor because it's so hard to feel like that constantly and if you need a little something to protect your quit then that's what you have to do.
Stay strong and take care....
Hi there and congrats on your quit. I first quit back in July and the insomnia was terrible and I am very familiar with the anger and snapping at every little thing. This will all get better, just hang in there and stay strong and know that you're not alone in your struggle.
I'm so very very sorry about your baby.
Take care......
I quit smoking using Chantix as well. I am only 1 month non-smoking. I only took Chantix for 9 days as on the 9th day I found out i was pregnant. So I was non smoking and pregnant, to only two weeks later miscarry. I am not too sure if its from the hormones, or from the symptoms of not smoking, but i was extremely irritable, it was almost to the point that everything i that came out of my mouth was snappy. I developed insomnia right from the get go from Chantix. and a month later and not taking it. i still have it. I also quit drinking with using Chantix. I wasn`t an alcoholic or anything , but the taste of alcohol still tastes like rubbing alcohol to me.... I am proud that I quit, sad that I lost my baby, and dying to get a decent nights sleep. And I am supprised my fiance hasn`t left me yet. I am not too sure if its the remnents from Chantix, but I am almost at a breaking point
You have me beat on your "quit" time and the amount of time that has elapsed since your use of Chantix. It has been almost 3 1/2 months for me and I am still getting urges and am still quick tempered, just not as often as before : )
I think we will always struggle, quitting is life altering especially if you have smoked for a long time (38 yrs. for me.) I know it will get easier and the cravings will only happen every once in a while and sometimes temper and irritability isn't about addiction but something else.
I doubt if Chantix can stay in your system for more then a few days never mind a number of months so it has to be something else.
Good luck to you and I hope it goes away asap : )
