worrisome symptoms from smoking marijuana

Dear Reader,

I was at a party last night, and i hit a homemade gravity bong where the bowl pack was on top and it was connected to a glass bottle, which was painted, and it had a spout on the end. by filling it with water and then releasing the spout as you light the bowl it fills with smoke. I took a hit of that and immediately felt tightness in my chest and could not breathe. I felt faint and light-headed. Also the left side of my chest hurt very badly and went numb as well as my left arms and left leg. My face started to numb as well. Then I was having a hard time breathing and felt as though my throat was closing. I decided to leave the party and get a ride back to school where I just slept it off. The next morning I woke up with a discomfort in my left chest area under and next to my breast. Its been like that all day and Im still having trouble breathing. Do you think I could have harmed my heart in this process? Should I seek medical attention? If not that would be a relief because I have no insurance, but I am very worried I harmed myself...

Sincerely,
worried stoner

How are you feeling today?  It is truly impossible for someone on the Internet to tell you if you've harmed yourself or not or if you should seek medical attention or not.  If you still feel today like you described and still have trouble breathing, you should go to the doctor.  I think what might have happened is you pulled a muscle in your chest, but of course that's only a guess.
