Hold your nose and dont breathe thru the mouth. Now just imagine, going to take a breath and its not there. COPD, the silent killer. I have COPD and when the doc told me that if I did not quit my 35 year 2 pack a day habit that I would not live to retire. I am 60 today on the 18th. That got my attention as well as going to take that breath and it simply was not there.

I quit that day. It was New Years Eve 2010. At the end of this month it will be ten months off, cold turkey. Was it hard Hell YES! Was it worth it? OH HELL YES!

You try, you fail and then you try again. But yes you can do it. If I did, anyone can. Hang in.

I have quit smoking many times. Cold turkey then the patch. The nicotine is out of your body within 48 hours, after that it's mental. I would try the patch and acupuncture. You can do it, the question is do u really want too. You have to get out of the habit of picking up, lighting etc...that's what the patch is for. Acupuncture can help with stress and cravings.
Hope this helps.
