Hi Teresa, I remember you, hello and congratulations of your continued quit!
I'm so happy to hear it!
I know how difficult it can be at times and I also know that for a long while it's all we might think about, but all you need to do is to recall how horrible you felt when you did smoke and what a difference in the way you feel between then and now. This website really helps me also. Whether people attempt to quit or just need moral support, knowing that there are others like me out there, well that just reinforces my decision to maintain my quit : )
I also do some reading on whyquit.com. When I see myself in an article, well that's very helpful.
I know more ex-smokers who have stayed quit than ones who have gone back to it. If fact, with the new laws in many states, it's almost impossible to be a smoker...and that helps me : )
Just try to think back to how you smelled, how gruff your voice had become, how winded you got when walking and all of those extremely negative things that we felt for all those years and that should really keep you from going back...
I thank God that I quit when I did...it was a new lease on life : )
Hang tough and keep coming back : )
