Stay strong and remind people that second hand smoke can harm a child. Do what's right for the baby - they have to live with the consequences for the rest of their life.

Stay strong!!!!!!

Congrats on quitting both for yourself and your baby... I would encourage you to keep your mind busy on anything else. Also chewing gum or snacking on pretzels etc may help you when you are craving. Best of luck to you and congratulations on the baby❕

Hi!
Both active and passive smoking is harmful for baby’s health. Also, you are not alone in this. Being around cigarette smoke often retriggers the strength and frequency of cravings and this is happening in your case. Often when a pregnant woman gives up smoking, the cravings are really strong in first few days. The good news is that even the strongest craving hardly lasts 10-15 minutes. You need to believe that it is just a craving and it will pass. So, you need to be strong during that time and distract yourself with activities you like. Eating your favorite food may also lessen the craving. Also, you could request your family and husband to cooperate during pregnancy and avoid smoking. Hope this helps. Take care!
