Thank u jade, u can always work on quitting again!!!! *hugs* just don't EVER take another puff!!!! I tried to download the meter, but my phone won't allow it. I have a new ph...its team mobiles motorola click *smart phone* with computer internet. It should have allowed me to download that!!:(
Hi and congrats on your quit!! That whyquit.com has been a Godsend. Really helpful. You'll see many choices for meters, but the Quit Time seems to be the easiest and simplest one. I have that one, too. I relapsed 3mos ago, but I still have that meter tick tocking away down at the bottom of my screen telling me I would be 6mos4wks as of today :(
You can also start an addiction tracker for smoking here at MedHelp. Having several visuals helps keep yourself on track :)
You're doing great!!
Thanks kathy, that's wonderful:)
It's in the 3rd column under "Support" a little more then half-way down the page in the sub category "Key Freedom Destinations." The one I chose is called "Quit Time."
Good luck and flash your meter : )
U can download a meter? Didn't know that. Must of overlooked that. Where on the page do I go to do that? Thank u for the tip!!!! Ppl want to deny the dangers...its easier to not feel guilty at contributing to their own demise. Yes that website scared me!!!!
Some of the stories at whyquit are real eye openers....scary to think that for so many years we looked the other way or pretended not to know that these things could happen to us!
Now that you have quit, I'm sure that you will heal a lot quicker and you will feel a lot better : )
Why not download a free meter at whyquit and celerbrate your quit daily : ) It sure helps me when I see all those smokes I haven't smoked and all the money I am saving!

Kathy good for u, proud of ya hun!!!! *hugs* my hat goes off to u for quitting, it ain't an easy battle!!! I had open back fusion surgery feb 22nd of this year. It was crucial not only for my overall health to quit, but for my back's health as well. Www.whyquit.com also is another motivator for me to remain quit!!! I have 3 kids, I don't need to be developing oat cell lung cancer and die 66 days after getting diagnosed, leaving my kids motherless!!
absolutely, I second that! This forum and whyquit are what helps me stay quit : )
Also visit www.whyquit.com for it is truly an eye opener!!! Its powerful msg's have kept me resisting the urge to even take one puff!!!
