You gonna have to get the whyquit.com and even visit some of the sites for addiction for other tips. It will be very hard if you dont have the mindset so you need to see and hear what will possibly happen if you dont quit. I smoked with all my kids I am not proud of that fact either, but that was years and years ago before all the additives so they turned out ok for the most part. I wouldnt trust it to happen that way now tho.

I know its only smoking? Sweetie it is proven that quitting smoking is harder than getting off cocaine. Dont minimize its power, that is your first mistake.

Realize that this is not a want to situation but a must be. Your baby is depending on you and this will be your very first parental decision. My daughter used the patch and cut down from there and it worked for her. Since you are pregnant it will cut out some of the ways of quitting so you will need to do the patch or simply lay em down and bite your nails but its got to happen. Good luck with that.

I found it hard but I started using electronic cigarettes and now I'm only using the 0mg of nicotine juice after a few weeks. I learned a lot about them on you tube and ECF ( electronic cigarette form) how to use, refill, add juice etc. Buy the Ego with a button because the automatic ones get clogged fast and are useless. I found the best prices for the kit at libertyvapes.com or totally wicked ( has lots of instructional videos on the site) and juice at Bluemist or Madvapes. I bought 70 yr.old mother and my 22 yr old son a set and once got comfortable using it they cut down/ quit in a few wks. Watch out for gimmick sites that advertise low costs but they keep sending and billing you for stuff. Stick with the sites mentioned, Madvapes ships for 2.99 or free if you spend x amount of dollars. Good luck!

hi,

Thanks yes 14 weeks now... yes I have spoken to my ob (im assuming thats what you call doctor over there) but she wasnt very helpful just told me to do patches.. I already have a 5 yr old son so am planning to give up on the holidays which start in a few days because we will be very busy with him and my partner is prepared to give up with me but he finds is alot easier on patches than I do...

but I feel so guilty and paranoid...

Thanks for answering :)

hello and welcome to MH.
congratulations on your pregnancy.
i think if you copied and pasted your question and also posted it on the smoking addiction and pregnancy forums you would most likely get answers from those who are more knowledge about this.
have you spoken with your ob about this?
