I think you are making the perfect decision to quit everything else before you quit smoking as a smoking quit, I've found, is unlike any other.

Congrats on your Current quit!  You are doing AWESOME!! :)

I don't know. I am still addicted to opiates and haven't smoked in going on 10 days. The tense feeling made me cut down on opiates (weened from 2 down to 1 at a time.. from 7 at a time months ago), and I've been getting fat so my personal withdrawal depression is making me eat less. I stopped seeing it as "just smoking", it destroys me.. the opiates would have a harder time doing that.

The queer stoned feeling might help with the other drugs. I can't stand the idea that smokers with Buergers disease will smoke until they lose both legs and push their luck with their hands before they will quit. I do not want something that powerful taking over my life and destroying my beauty. I could never tell anyone to keep smoking. It is one of the worst drugs ever, especially since people don't even realize that.

But until you are ready, it would be terrible at best. If you are not ready you will fixate on "needing" a smoke and tell yourself you are deprived of a cigarette.  Instead of decoding the junkie thoughts for what they are. You can't go 24 hours listening to junkie thinking.

I didn't read it but if you look through the archives using the "search" feature, you will see many over the years that talk about this book and how it changed their lives.
Good luck and maybe you should try to stop everything else before you take on nicotine. It is the toughest addiction to kick.
