According to my daughters pediatrician the smoke clings to your clothes and the child can breath it in. Also wash your hands after smoking.
as traycee said if it gets back into the house then the child could breath in the smoke via secound hand smoke
if you don't smoke around the baby. it won't affect the lungs but it doesn't smell good to a baby or anyone, that strong smell someonce has after they smoke. You can really notice it when you have quit.
as long as you don't directly expose your baby to smoke(i am assuming cigarettes) everything should be fine but smoking is never a good idea no matter what.
