Brother Stroke

Hello there,

My brother had suffered a stroke back in 2019. Unfortunately was not take care well and waited too long for proper care by an extended family. He is now back with us safe.

I believe he suffered a hammorhagic stroke. Left and Right brain. He has severe spasticity/contracture to his left and right arms & legs. He is unable to speak, walk or function normally. Any neurologist in this forum that can tell me if my brother will get better? does he need a surgery intervention?

Gosh, this is heartbreaking to hear this happened to your brother.  This happened  awhile ago. Has he shown any improvement?  They sometimes put into a rehab facility.  They work with them there.  And the brain does heal but normally you'd see some progress along the way.  You are not seeing any?  I'm a little worried there has been such a gap in his care. Progress often starts to show within 3 months after the stroke.  I would try to find a rehabilitative physician in your location to help your brother.
