Cough after my stroke

I had a "minor" stoke in May 2010. It is now October 2010 my dizziness, balance, double vision and strength have all improve greatly but I still have a dry cough that flares up almost daily. My doctor said it could be allergies and to give it time. I have done that but there has been no real improvement. The only medications I'm taking are a statin for cholesterol and Plavix. Any input on this cough would very much appreciated.  Thanks!

hi..my mother had a stroke last year. and i have observed that she has a dry, nonproductive cough 3-4 times a day. she says that her throat seems itchy that she really wanted to cough it out. i dont know the reason and im also worried what is really itching her throat like that.

Your cough could come from your medication you are taking, side effects. Look up what kind of side effects could come your medication or drug interaction. Lisonopril does it for me and my freind. Good luck.
