41 and ttc #1

I'm 41, will be 42 in December. We have been ttc #1 for almost 3 years now. We got pg in 2007, lost the baby, a little boy, at 20 weeks due to a rare chromosomal problem. We haven't conceived since. I was 39 when I got my BFP and in just 5 short months! Now that I'm over 40, it's so difficult. I go for acupuncture for fertility and am on Clomid this cycle. I'm just waiting to O now. Should be in the next few days. I can't wait to be back in the tww! We took a "break" the last 2 cycles and it feels like FOREVER since I was in the tww. I am feeling confident and positive and encouraged and want to pass it along to all of you!!!!

Sue, I'm turning 43 in a couple of weeks. I never thought I would try at this age, but, well, it's not over for me yet!  I've not taken any fertility meds, but I have done acupuncture last summer and loved it, but unfortunately, I still lost that pregnancy.  I've used up my benefits so I'm not sure whether I will do it again.  

Give me another week and I'll be joining you in the 2WW!

Sue, I will also be 42 in December.  I feel like that is a breaking point.  Like if I don't get pg by then, it's all over.  I am so depressed.  I got AF today and so I only have two cycles left.  I hope acupuncture works for you, I can't wait to hear your good news!

My situation was similar.  I started at the fertility clinic at 39, got pregnant after 4 IUIs but it ended in a m/c and an autoimmune disorder.  A year later, we were able to start again then, after 5 IUIs, we got pregnant.  I'm 41 and 21 weeks pg.  Everything is going really well with the pregnancy.  I thought it would be high risk because of my age, but nope; no concerns thus far.  We also did acupuncture, and we both think it helped.  Positive thoughts to the universe for a successful outcome.

AFM: I'm in my 2ww, but know I'm going to get AF next week, because I get PMS syms & they started a few days agon. So...on to the next month.
