Over 40 and blessed!!..have faith!

Hello everyone,
Well as I posted before I am 40 , had a round of femara and Gonal F..produced 4 large follicels and had my first IUI on the 7th of April..I've had excessive cramping since the IUI...I tested negative after 7 days ...I retook a HPT  April 24th..I tested postivie!! and my physician insisted on a blood test, actually what they did was had my HCG quantified..he called with the great news!!!! I am FINALLY pregnant.
I am having my HGCQ  again next Wednesday to ensure my levels haven't dropped...God willing they don't..although my nurse says the numbers are fantastic !
As for those statistics for women over 40...well ...I'm living proof!! age is just a number...
I have PCOS...I'm 40 ..my husband is 50 ..low sprem count with diminshed morphology...so with all that against us we were still blessed!!!
So please keep the faith and stay strong!!
DA

OMG! I LOVE good news! Congratulations! Will keep you in my prayers for huge beta numbers that keep going up and up! And sending you tons of SSBD to keep your little bean nice and warm inside your womb for the 9-month journey! Congrats again! And best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnacy!

It really does always give me hope to hear of 40+ women conceiving! I have always believed and always will that 40+ women are not too old! The drs just have to blame our unique TTC problems on something, since they frequently can't figure out what the cause is! Everyone hang in there and keep the faith! SSBD to all!

Wow, congrates! It is always good to hear when one of us does get pregnant.  It gives the rest of us hope.   I will continue to have faith, thank you!

As for me, I tried fermara for several cycles, and although I had a good responds, I didn't get pregnant.  I also had 6 IUI"s.   I am now going for natural, but I am taking vitamins such as Macaroot and Vitex.  Now, I am on the 2ww train.  I feel good, about this cycle and really feel, it will happen in the next few months.   My blood test is May 6.
