Can someone or something trigger Depression?

Alright, so... I did something really bad that caused me to get banned from a Tumblr blog and a Discord server. Before that happened, I have always been such a happy person. But after a few days I got banned, I have been showing signs of Depression. I have been mean, I have been sad. But mostly, I was really guilty. Whenever I think about it, I suddenly feel my brain start to tingle in an uncomfortable way. I also won't be able to breathe very well. A couple times I have thought about suicide, and now I have a sudden interest for alcohol, wine coolers and screwdrivers (orange juice + vodka) specifically. I have never felt like that before until I got banned. It doesn't help that one of the mods was very harsh to me... Do you think that mod triggered all this? I do, to be honest, but I want to hear what some of you think.

Anything can trigger depression. I still don't know what caused mine. It's very likely that the mods caused you to feel depression, although it's not certain. Were they just doing their job? Or were they actually stepping out of bounds and bullying you after what you did? Try thinking logically about why you were banned from tumblr. We all make mistakes, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn from them. I know it's cliche, but nothing is preventing you from starting a new tumblr account and not making the same mistake. Also please don't resort to alcohol to help your depression. In the end, taking the right medicines and/or getting therapy is much better and won't be as bad on your body later in life.
