hi niharikaaa.. i completely agree with clysta.. slight penetration is equivalent to sex.. apart from that precum is always present on a guy's organ which may contain sperms so chances of conceiving are always there..but i can't give u a 100% assurity.. so u have to decide whether to go for an emergency contraceptive or not.. u simply can't take  a chance... the best way is to either go for birth control pills like "today" or "choice" or use condoms though condoms are also not 100% safe if you don't want to get pregnant and you know u might be engaging in the activity in future.. hope this helps dear.. take care..

the only thing i would suggest is to wait for your periods if you are more than 8 days late from your expected due date you should go for a home pregnancy test  (preganews) it's difficult to assume simply by symptoms dear.. and i guess you have a little confusion regarding the emergency contraceptive pill and the birth control pill..  emergency contraceptive pills(i pill or unwanted72) are for emergency purposes and are to be taken after the act has happened and u are not ready for a pregnancy.. they need to be taken within 72 hrs of the act or else their effect is absolutely nil.. apart from that they screw up your normal cycle.. birth control pills (today or choice)are meant for regular intake.. they have a daily prescribed dosage.. even emergency contraceptive pills have this written not to be replaced as a regular birth control method.. i hope this helps.. and next time don't take a chance.. good luck..

hi niharika.. there is a pretty chance that the condom might break during the intercourse.. even a small pin sized hole in the condom makes it useless.. i agree with clysta that no bith control is 100 % safe.. like if u take contraceptive pills like today and choice they too have to be taken regularly everyday the way it's meant to be taken.. any day u miss to take it, it's simply equivalent to not taking it at all.. so clysta said that no contraception is 100% safe is actually right.. but if u take them properly chances of getting pregnant are much less.. good luck..

No birth control is 100%. Not even sterilization is 100% and all have a failure rate. To prevent pregnancy you should always be using two form of birth control, such as condoms and birth control pills, the shot, IUD, Implanon, patch, ring, etc. You need to take a pregnancy test and see what it shows up as.
