13 year old with thyroid problem

My son who is 13 has just received his blood test result back,we live in Germany,so I hope the measurements are the same.TSH 6.08iu/ml T3 LIA 4.72pg/ml T4 1.29ng/dl.First of all, nobody can tell me ,is that under or over active, they said it is neither. He has been given L-Thyrox Hexal (levothyroxine-natrium)50 and takes one a day.Since then he feels even worse than before. Dr's said it is normal and can take up to 3 weeks, but he feels too sick to even go to school. Can anyone help explain all this to me (in English) please.

The TSH points to slightly hypo.

The T4 and T3 can fall within limits and still be off.

The medication is to treat hypothyroidism. He may very well be feeling ill from the hypo state rather than the medication.
