4 weeks 2.75 natural thyroid update

week 4 on 2.75 compounded natural thyroid. got results back from endo tsh shot up to 5.74 , doctor increased dose up to the equilvelent of 200 armounr compounded or 3.33 grains natural compunded tyroid.  still having muscle aches joint pain,  tired. gained back another 6 pounds. . so hopefully this helps. doc thinks i've always been undermedicated. thanks original endo! . hopefully see improvements soon. all the other tests came out good. cortisol. dhea. testoterone, fsh and lh t4 freee. thansk but the whole armour not being regulated is a myth. they had production problems which is why it was pulled. compounded is the thyroid  extract put  in a pill by a pharmacy compounder. this can vary due to the compounder themself but the ingrediants of thyroid are under strict batch compliance.  don't believe all that it can be off by 20 percent.  or more. thats just pharmacutical  propaganda.  when the shortage is over i might ask for natural throid. when supplies start to become avaliable again.

Listen,be very carefull when it comes to compounded thyroid or even Armour. Neither can be regulated. In fact I believe Armour is going to be taken off the market because it cannot be regulated. I too take Armour and I prefer Armour to Synthroid or even compounded however, I think Armour may have some issues as far as purity. Have you has your adrenals checked? I am on 3 grains of Armour which is the the equivalant to .250 of Levithyroid but on Armour I experience a large amount of aches and pains. Sometimes I wonder if its because I am allergic to pork and Armour comes from pork. Maybe I am creating more antibodies due to the allergy. I take Armour because I need the T3 and rather taking two drugs such as Levethroid and Cytomel, I figure it is easier. My body temp is down to 94.1 which means my adrenals are a bit stressed. take your body temp. under your arm, if it is below 97.7, chances are your adrenals are stressed and you may need adrenal support.There is a great web site drbrownstein.c You may want to check that out.Also calciumlie.c is a good site to view as too much calcium will interfere with Thyroid function.

I think you are finding the right treatment Kevin. You may have lingering symptoms still - but if you were so bad for so long - it will take time.
