An answer to a chronic case of hives and swelling

If you suspect a reaction is being caused either by an issue with your thyroid or is being caused by your thyroid medication.  ( extreme swelling of your feet and ankes, lips, hives, itchy skin.  And you have been to allergists, dermatologists, endocrinologists, ER and immunologist with NO concrete answers, how can you push for more in depth testing?

I would suggest you look and visit a good doctor. A good doctor, could be a primary, family or endocrinologist, will test you for antibodies, TSH, frees, iron, ferritin, vitamins ect., and will determine if you my have an issue with your thryoid.

I say a good doctor because there are many who will never treat you if you TSH looks "normal", but they also do not test you for anything else. That happended to me. I was going around visting doctors and doctors until I found one who listened, tested for more, and treated me with an open mind. I found mine here:  http://www.thyroid-info.com/topdrs/
I hope this helps.
