Muscle cramps and hair loss can be a magnesium defenciecy I would for sure ck that. If it is a problem, be sure to study the best ways to correct it as some of the supplements are worthless. Be sure to ask for a red blood cell test not the simple serum levels. Best to you!
In the meantime you can always drink about 2 gatorade's a day to help. It has a surplus of potassium and always helped me bring my levels up while hyper. Good luck!
I cant remember the number she said Ive been so forgetful lately.but I have had muscle cramps, weakness frequent urination annd low BP Which I kinda just wote off thinking it must be my thryoid because all these symptoms didnt start untill my hair started falling out excessively Ive lost half my hair in a month and a half and thats why they tested my thryoid.Iam glad she pointed it out because my family doc the one that did the test didnt even bother telling me! but the endo seemed a bit concerned.
That is a very good question as I had the same problem too. My endo actually gave me potassium supplements which I never took. I know why my levels flucuate. I have Hashimoto's and when I am in the "hyper" mode I have pretty severe diarrhea and poof my potassium is low. When I am in the "hypo" mode it returns to normal. How low was your level and are you having any symptoms due to it?
