Any willing to share RAI stories and advice?

I'm just wondering who had radiation and would be willing to share their stories. The new endo I have has recommended it due to hashimoto's toxicosis. I have a 5 year old so I'm not sure how that is gonna work with me staying away from him, but I'm interested to hear everything anyone has to share on the subject =). Was it worth it? Did you feel better? Did you have reactions? etc etc... thanks everyone.

I had it due to cancer, no ill effects, hardly anything remotely different, except I lost my sense of taste for a month. I was lucky, my family went on vacation while I radiated, good luck!
