Armour & Cytomel?

My current regime is 75 mcg Levoxl/10 Cytomel 5 x daily: 7 x wkly.  My t3 is marginally noted, as I have rt3 dominance.
My tsh  was at 0.24 within the range of  0.40-4.50
And the t4 at 0.9 range 0.8-1.8

My symptoms, beyond my labs being off, are extreme fatigue, bone pain, difficulty concentrating and weight gain.

My query to start armour, with insurance endo led to a script of Armour 60 mg-A dose that was advized to be too low, considering my tsh/t4 results, by a trusted medhelp forum number.

I contacted my out-of-pocket endo, for a second opinion and he wrote a script for Armour.50 and to up Cytomel to a total of 5 mg 3  x daily.

Is this normal?  Seriously, I thought t3 was already present in Armour? Am I mistaken?   Cytomel is strong, and short lived.  Should I be concerned about this?  I have been down too many wrong roads, to have zero confidence in any of them, to be honest.
Please help!

I take 30mg Armour and 5 mcg Cytomel in the morning at 6:30am  and 30mg Armour and 5 McG Cytomel again at 3pm. I feel great, much better than when they had me on just 30mg Armour once a day.

So, your FT3 remains unchanged at 3.3, and your FT4 is up marginally from 0.9 to 1.0.  TSH (for what its worth) has dropped from 0.24 to 0.06.

How do you feel now?

Your FT4 is still quite low.  FT3 once again looks pretty good.  Your TSH most likely fell due to the increase in Cytomel.  I'm guessing what you really need to do is increase Levoxyl slightly, but that depends on symptoms.

Once again, my insurance endo is not dealing with my labs to my satisfaction.  Current dose:  Levoxyl 75 mcg 6 x weekly, Cytomel 15 mcg daily.
Labs:  TSH    0.06    Range:  0.40-4.50      Last Lab:  TSH:    0.24
          T3, Free  3.3  Range:  2.3-4.2                         T3,Free  3.3
          T4, Free  1.0  Range:0.8-1.8                           T4,Free  0.9
          T3, Total 77   Range: 76-181                          T3,Total   82

Out of pocket Endo upped the Cytomel (t3) and reduced the Levoxyl one day a week, the tsh has dropped even lower.  Should I reduce my t4 by another day, making it a total of 75 mcg, 5 x weekly?  I am so confused, and hmo Dr. ignores everything-the same doctor that prescribed the weirdness of last post, that I refused to take.  Please help.

I called the pharmacy,  The 'new script', like the recent Armour script, is 60 g, and the Liothyonine (generic Cytomel) is upped from 10, to 15 mcg daily (5 mcg/3 x daily).

I've done some reading, and it would apprear this is something that some doctors have done. Its just super odd, to me, on many levels.

Before the t3 was added, there were labs with virtually no readings of t3,  I was told that was an issue a year ago.  Meanwhile, I have not picked up the scripts, only going by what they said over the phone.
Has anyone heard of dosing both Armour and Cytomel?  It does not sound right, at all.
I have had trouble contacting Barb135.
I am without a clue as to where to turn with this.

I just looked at another of your posts in a previous thread where you posted recent (Sept and Oct) labs, and I don't see RT3 dominance in either of those.  Please post labs that indicate RT3 dominance.

Armour 0.50?  Do you mean a half grain (30 mg) of Armour?

Armour does contain T3, you're right.
