Just being in range doesn't mean the levels are right for you. Some of us need them higher than others and some, not so high. Be sure to get copies of all your test results, including the ultrasound, so you'll have them for your records. Look forward to seeing results.
Thanks for your reply. My drs always tell me that all my levels are within range but today I booked an ultrasound and I have some blood forms. Hopefully I am on the right track. I will post when I know. Cheers d
A lot of us get that feeling when our thyroid swells or if we get nodules. Less than 5% of nodules are cancer, so there usually isn't anything done with them, unless they have suspicious characteristics or grow large enough to cause issues. Swelling of the thyroid is often caused by Hashimoto's and many/most of us with Hashimoto's have nodules. The thyroid, often, swells with hypothyroidism (under active thyroid), as well.
Have you ever been tested for Hashimoto's? That would require antibody blood tests. Were you started on any thyroid hormone replacement medication when you had your PT?
Do you have current thyroid hormone results that you could post for us, so we can get a better idea of your status? If you post lab results, please make sure you post reference ranges with them, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
