Can all this be related to a Hypothyroid?

I have weight loss, loss of smell and taste, COPD, Hep.C, Peripheral Neuropathy, Hypothyroid, Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, MVP, HPV, Acid Reflux, Hyatel Hernia and other illnesses, too many to post. I just got a recent blood test result back and my T4 is elevated. Does anyone know if that could be causing any of the problems I'm having. Of course I know that COPD, Sclerosis and certain others wouldn't be but mostly I'm curious about the Neuropathy, and the symptoms, weight loss and loss of smell. Thnx, Carol

Bless your heart... it sounds like you've been through a lot !  I don't know too much about thyroid conditions, but I wanted to let you know that many people with fibromyalgia have hypothyroidism. I don't know too much about thyroid conditions, but I'm guessing that since you have an elevated T4, your Endocrinologist or PCP may want to adjust your thyroid medication dosage.

How has your thryoid medication been working for you ? Which medication are you taking and have you noticed an improvement ? The reason why I ask is because a physician who regularly sees and treats fibromyalgia patients had said that he has found that Synthroid and Levoxyl do not work well for his patients. He has had better luck with the timed released T3 medications.
