try not to sleep during the day, don't drink tea or cofee. Show all you meds to the doctor, for him to evaluate...Insonia is very common, sometimes I take an hour to sleep, but doctor says is stress
Nothing but water to drink after lunchtime. At 2pm the natural naptime, get up and go for a walk instead. Get your blood pumping. No more day napping. Check your pulse at bedtime... is it racing? is it normal? (80 to 50)
Any pop, sugar, even juice, coffee, tea, Gatorade, etc in the afternoon can stick with you into the night, and make it hard to sleep with your mind and heart racing. Milk may help some sleep, but it thickes your mucus, and can cause breathing problems at night due to thicker stickier mucus. Reading or TV at bedtime is BAD and gets your mind all worked up. (reading depends on the person, some it helps to put to sleep, ha)
Sleeping meds can leave you groggy and foggy all day long, the next day, after you wake up. Try to avoid them. Use more natural sleep aids like Valerian Root, massage, soft soothing sounds and music. If you stay awake and active all day long, your body WILL get the sleep it needs at night. :)
