Conflicting readings

I had an US done about five weeks ago and amoung other scary things, they said that they saw single punctate calcification.  When I went to my endo she said that she disagreed and didn't see the calcification.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  She did take a biopsy and I am just waiting anxiously on the results.  I have a strong family history of thyroid cancer and am having a hard time waiting.  Thanks for any help.

CT scan or MRI can be used for differential diagnostics
According to Lin,. Escott &  Kavita (2008),
”Punctate, linear, eggshell, amorphous, and nodular calcifications can occur in benign and malignant thyroid tumors”.
Coarse calcification is defined as a size of >1.5 mm.
