Glad to here they increased you dose, however the 3 month cycle will begin all over, but on a positive note you will be feeling alot better after that!!

What i did to help while my hair loss was so bad...............
I had it cut shorter
Took hair supplements....but wait 6 hrs after taking you levo.
and didn't brush it while it was wet...switch to a wide tooth comb or pick.
And avoid harsh hair treatments..hairspray,dye/ peroxide, blow drying.

SO get ready for some new growth, I know the ajustment will make it better...my new growth is 3 inches long now...and the hair grew back in stronger and thicker than it normally was...and that was a good thing!!!

By the way your welcome!!!!!   Best wishes................Brooke

You are welcome!

Don't worry too much. It will grow back after your levels have been optimal for a bit.

I am also afraid to brush or wash my hair at times. In high school I had Alopecia Areata and lost hair in several bald patches!

Thank you so much for the advice, I thought it was happening only to me, sometimes I am afraid to comb it, because it falls a bunch. My skin is not bad and my nails were braking and peeling a lot on the begining, now it's getting stronger again, but I still feel tired in the morning after wake up, and still feel a bit of palpitation at night while sleeping. Now it is the third month i've been taking it, and I just started to take the new dosage 100 yesterday, i really hope i will adjust my level's soon. I am not sure how much were the number's on my last blood work, but i know they were still low as the doctor said. Thank you again.

You may still be losing hair because you are still hypo. My hairloss does not subside until my TSH is below 2.

Also, hair has a 3 month growth cycle. It will take at least this long to see a change.

How long have you been on Levoxyl and what are/were your TSH levels?

The same thing happend to me!! It took about 6 months for it to fianally stop!! It takes a while to get used to it!! I know how you feel on a very strong level. It's not fare Just be strong and I know it will stop..take your levo at the same exact time every time and don't eat for about an hour ...that's the advice my Endo gave me!! It helped a bit, I think it was just my body ajusting? How are your nails and skin??

I KNOW YOU WILL FEEL BETTER SOON!! The hair will grow back and you metabolism will become more normal. Do your best to not let it consume your every thought..I know that's very hard!! Your are in my thoughts and prayers!!
