An amount >0.9 on your IgM test shows a current infection. Mine is 1.0. An amount > 0.9 on your IgG shows past infections. Mine is 4.5, which is several outbreaks. I have persistent Parvo B19 virus. I have only been on 50 mcg of Cytomel for 1 month, before that 25 mcg for over 5 years. This is to try to control the goiter on my neck. I go back to the doctor on 2/6/17 for a treatment plan. I am exhausted. The doctor called and said we will discuss complete Adrenal Failure.
I agree that we need to know the reference ranges for your Free T4 and Free T3 as ranges vary from lab to lab, so they have to come from your own report for the best comparison. Also, please provide the reference ranges for the IgM and IgG tests as listed on your report.
It's not true that TSH has to be at a certain point for the best results, since TSH is a pituitary hormone and its only purpose is to stimulate the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones. If you've had Hashimoto's for a long time, it's likely that your thyroid will not respond to any amount of TSH. It's important to note that TSH neither causes nor alleviates symptoms and for most of us, is totally irrelevant to how we feel.
50 mcg of cytomel is a very large dose and I'd have to wonder if that might be too much for you, since your FT4 seems to be quite low, compared to many ranges we see.
Are you positive for a current Parvo B19 infection or do you have the antibodies indicating that you've had an infection recently/in the past? From what I've read, there's a difference and once the infection is past, the symptoms would not remain, but the antibodies would, giving protection from future infection.
Please mention the lab reference ranges too which is included your result sheet as it can vary from lab to lab.
Had you ruled out deficiencies like Vitamin D, B12 and Ferritin?
No need to bring TSH to a particular range to feel comfortable, this is especially true if your symptoms are getting worse when you try to bring TSH too low like this. Anyway it will be best to find your suitable dose by remaining on levothyroxine or NDT only for some weeks.
