help!

I know something is wrong..but my gp is ignoring me. I have been tired, gaining weight, headaches, cold all the time, constipated, just feeling icky. at the doc my free t4 was 1.03 antibodies were normal. however my cholesterol was really high...above 250 and i am not overweight nor do i eat terrible..in fact i am 21 and excersise regularly. my vitamin d was 25 and my calcium was 9.1  I just cannot seem to figure out what is wrong..it is something but without hard numbers how do i get a doc to believe me? i am so frusterated.

Just knowing free T4 is not enough.  Free T3 is the most active thyroid hormone.  It is four times as potent as free T4 and it largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions.  I suggest that you read the  article in this link and you will notice that the doctor who wrote it suggests that you may need to have FT3 and FT4 in the upper part of their reference range, to alleviate hypo symptoms.  A copy of this for your doctor might also change his outlook.
