Purintans Pride has a liquid calcium.  600 mg of calcium.  300 of magnesium and phosphorus.  and 300 iu of vitamin D.  Comes in orange or blueberry flavor.  I have ordered from them and they are said to be reputable.  www.puritan.com

www.drugstore.com has a liquid called...wellesse.  It appears to be inexpensive.  it has 1000 mg of calcium, 1000 iu of vitamin d and 200 mg phosphorus.  I don't know anything about these folks.  It has a 4.5 star review with 23 reviews listed.  2 tablespoons.

I was taking a liquid vitamin C for a short time.  But when I looked at it again after TT, it only showed as 3 % of RDA.  What's the sense in 3 % when most of us want a lot more than that.  But I'll check it out and see what I can find.

Congrats on the car Smilerdeb.

*I* live in the US and I didn't know we had liquid calcium!!!!  Going to try the health food store next week for that one.  AND magnesium.  Gee, I wonder if they have the selenium in liquid form as well; I could just mix myself a little "cocktail" every evening and I'd be "good to go"....

As it is, I've managed to find the vitamins/minerals I take in capsule form and although they are still large, they ARE a bit easier for me to swallow than the big horse pills.

The biggest problem I find with all this stuff is having to carry it around with me.  I work outside and it's hard to make sure I have the various pills with me that I need to take at the right time(s).  It's a real pain in the backside to keep track of the 4 hour separation from thyroid med, etc.  Thank Verizon for putting alarms on cell phones...

Hey thanks for posting something a little lighthearted!  And something we can all relate to.

I am switching to as many liquid vits as possible.  I make a protein smoothie in the morning and throw in a liquid Glucosamine from Swanson (good prices) and a packet of EmergenC vitamin C with joint nutients too.  also take liquid Vit. D (from Apex) and liquid Calcium, Magnesium , zinc from a co. called MRM, orange vanilla flavor - although tastes much more like chalk but still better than a big old pill.

Still take loads of pills though, olive leaf for the arthritis 6 times a day for one.  At least synthroid is a little pill :)

RedAussie:  try looking at the Swanson Vitamins website - I think they ship worldwide.  I'll look to see if I see those pills in my local stores too.  Good luck.

I just ran out of my US bottle of Calcium with magnesium and boron . They were small gel coated capsules...had to go back and get the Aussie version of calcium.. now THEY are horse pills! Man! taking 5 a day of those plus my other 10 pills is NOT fun....

I will ask one of you nicely if anyone can send me a fresh bottle of Tri-Boron Plus...I will pay you extra! I NEED those tablets! Got mine in Fred Meyers for around $11.00 US I think it was. Getting the larger solid calcium stuck in my throat...bleurgh!

The mega B plus is ALL the B vitamins at a high strength so they ingest into your system instead of coming out in the bowel. They are for extreme anxiety (which we have all had at one stage) and they keep it at bay. They basically take the 'edge' off any stress and anxiety. I use the brand "Natures Own". I dont know if they sell it in the Pharmacys over in the US....google it, its worth it.
They also seems to keep me sane as I mentioned before I was diagnosed with PST (post traumatic stress) after hubby committed suicide which then developed into severe panic attacks and Agoraphobia.
I honestly believe Graves had a lot to do with it personally.
I havent had any panic attacks since RAI. Strange , hey?

Silly wombat swallowing Vit. C when you can get the chewable one lol......

I'm doing good...levels back to normal (that is MY NORMAL) and going out today to buy a new car YAY !!!

Hugs

You did give me a laugh.  Two or three actually.  I can't take cranberry.  I'm allergic to them.  Didn't use to be.  Always had cranberry juice in my refrigerator, then one day, I made my famous cranberry salad and wallah.  Broke out in hives and my face swelled up.  Don't know how many of you are familiar with "the little mermaid", but when Sebastion puckers up his lips and they get real big??? yep that was me.  Didn't even have to pucker and my eyes were swelling shut, nose going numb.... yep...that was fun and I was adorable.  NOT.

So the Mega B plus...is that an Aussie thing?  What is it?  I've seen you talk about it before.

Dude!!!!!!! I never thought about chewable vitamin C.  DUH!!!!  What a dork.....I just keep swallowing the horse pill...... How rude.

Sorry for laughing here but when I read "I take gobs of vitamins ", I just cracked up laughing.
It reminds me of the early days when I would literally swallow anything in sight to feel better....only to feel like a walking rattling chemist lol.

I now have in the kitchen HEAPS of vitamins that I just dont 'need'.
I reckon I couldve spent the money on a lottery ticket and probably wouldve won lol.

I just stick to the Calcium/D, Vit. C, Mega B Plus, Cranberry and Vit. C (chewable).

Now those vitamin C tablets that you chew...welllllll
If you havent got taste buds before chewing them, you sure have after chewing them!
They make my eyes bl@@dy water and you should see the look on my face lol.
Quite a spectacle to be honest.

Here's me standing beside the kitchen sink, glass of water in the hand......

Ok..pill number one......inspecting the size wondering how the h*// that great BIG capsule is gonna go down my throat!
Thats the Calcium/D one lol.
Choking gagging sensation as the damn thing gets stuck and the taps not filling the glass enough so over the tap goes my mouth...wondering all the time if I was ever a goldfish in my past life lol (hehehe).

Pill number 2...thats the Cranberry capsule that damn well looks like a rocket missile from the armed forces!
If it wasnt for the fact that I havent had a UTI in nearly a year of taking these, I would probably slip it to the dog :) lol
That ones not so bad as the plastic casing melts.

Pill number 3...Mega B Plus. Boy does that stink !!!!
It smells like cow dung and tastes like it too! Swallow girl, swallow! lol
OMG i think I am gonna vomit !

As I crawl into bed...feeling totally exhausted from the MENTAL ANXIETY of swallowing these pills......it then hits me that with all the water I've drank, its time to use the toilet.

Who said life wasnt a breeze? lol

Just a daily routine for me and thought I would give you some laughs to go along with it.
I may even protest at the Pharmaceutical companies asking if they can ALL be put in one GIGANTIC pill.
What do ya reckon>> (hehehe)

I take gobs of vitamins and have actually given up a few that I should be taking.  After a while it is like my throat just says "That's it...I'm tired....you need to back off with those horse pills or stick them up your......"   Well you get the point.  I just get tired of swallowing them.  My vitamin C's are the worst.  I think I'll get smaller dosages and take more?  Not sure that's helpful.  I didn't think my calciums were so bad and my d's are a cinch.  Amino acids are sizeable.  Quit taking those....
daily womens...doable, but just started taking those again.
antioxidants?  Didn't seem to work very well...I got ticked off and burned those...
Triple omega 3, 6, 9?  I burp up fish and quit taking those too.

I take a b12 w fish oil.  Qgel.  (paul harvey)
C
Calcium, magnesium and zinc (thinking about switching to citrical...again ... paul harvey)
daily womens
vitamin D.

I think that's it for now...Oh speaking of which...thanks for the reminder.  switching my calcium to night has been a real b_tch.  I always forget.

The choking feeling ---- have you had an ultra sound to see if your thyroid is swollen?  Have you had anti body testing to see if you have Hashimoto's?

I'm really happy to hear that you are taking synthroid and that all is going well..  Good luck and hoping your feeling of well being continues.

Hi barb,

My official diagnosis is hypothyroid.
My symptoms are muscles feeling energized and twitching and I also have the choking throat (I think that is from my weight being so heavy though honestly) .
My doctor prescribed me levothyroxine which made me nuts only after a couple of days and I requested synthroid (125mcg's is what I take) and I do very well on that. I have only been diagnosed and medicated for 2 months now so its all still new to me.
Thanks for answering my question. ~Sharey

Hi Sharey.  Welcome.  Since I posted the thing about selenium and magnesium, I hope you don't mind if I take the liberty of answering your question.

Selenium and magnesium are NOT imperative to thyroid health.  I'm speaking for MYSELF only.  I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and selenium helps to keeps the antibodies from "raging" so badly - it does NOT get rid of them - just helps calm them, so I don't have the swollen, sore neck and choking feeling so badly.  The magnesium helps immensely with muscle/joint aches/pains - but again, I'm speaking ONLY for myself.

Some people (like myself) are helped by these 2 minerals and for others, they do nothing.

Hope this helps.

What kind of med are you on?  What is your "official" diagnosis?

Again, welcome aboard and good luck.

I was at the point of gagging, then I went to a thyroid supplement powder drink.

It is wonderful!!

The only thing is the B complex is still pill - but ONE is better than a dozen in my eyes.

What I love NOT - is being dependant on medication now for the rest of my life.

I just have to deal with that though.

I started taking Walgreens brand mult ivitamin because they are very small. But my calcium gags me every time!  I have to take 2 a day and if I try to take them one after the other...forget it :).  Why can't they make them smaller?!

I just took my evening dose of calcium/magnesium - it didn't WANT to go down, but no "poof" in my face either - wow, bet that was weird.......

I hate taking all those vitamins, etc.  I've never understood WHY they have to be so big.  I also take a sublingual B12 occasionally, along with my shots and IT'S very tiny - why can't they do the same thing with the others??

I swallowed a calcium supplement, (gel capsule) well, 5 of them a day, but this particular one would not go down..tried water, ate peanut butter you name it! After an hour I could still feel it in the throat. Then I burped....poooooooof! A lovely cloud of white powder appeared in my face! The gel had dissolved and the burp brought the calcium up! Hee hee!
