EXTREME FATIGUE!

Hello,  I recently went to the doctor because of extreme fatigue & total inability to lose weight.   I mean, rice cakes & fruit & 1 hour at the gym every day before work....   But more the fatigue.  My doctor put me on cymbalta for anxiety about a month ago which helped temporarily with how tired I was,  but I went to an endo as well, and my thyroid antibodies were high and I have 2 nodules less than 10 mm.  So far the endo said to watch & I have a follow up in May!  But I am just soooo tired!  I also have a high rheumatoid arthritis factor, but normal is like below 8 & I'm only 13, so it's not too bad.   Just wondering if it could be the thyroid causing this exhaustion?  I mean - it's hard for me to keep my eyes open at 10 or 11 am!!  and I am out cold in bed at 930 or 10?    It's crazy.  I'm only 36 and otherwise healthy.  I can't stand this fatigue.  Otherwise my thyroid levels were normal.

you may also want to get your Vit D, Vit B-12, iron and ferritin levels checked.

the ranges are very wide on these and many people need to be well up into the range as in at least mid range if not towards the very top to feel well.  All of these can also be related to fatigue and it is common for people with low thyroid to also be deficient in one or more of these as well compounding the fatigue problem.

Your anxiety could also well be from low thyroid.

Dr's are quick to prescribe anti-anxiety and anti-depression meds. But loathe to do proper testing and/or prescribe proper thyroid meds.  Don't ask me why?

Please post your actual thyroid test results with reference ranges (these vary lab to lab and have to be posted with results).  Often doctors tell us everything is "normal" when testing was inadequate or reference ranges were obsolete or badly applied.
