Cannot understand docs

Got my Ft4 and TSH tested. My Ft4 is 1.05      Range is 0.6 -1.6   TSH was 2 something(who cares about TSH).

She said it is up there where it should be.LOL   No, it is a bit below the middle of the range. I am sleepy all the time especially when sitting, a bit of numbness in extremeties, a bit depressed, a bit constipated, hair falling out a bit.

I can just imagine where the Ft3 is. Am usually a great converter of Ft4, will get Ft3 later. So should I give her a copy of the NACB website  thyroid part page 36 where it says Ft4 should be in the upper 1/3 of the range?

It doesn't hurt since this is my 10th doctor over the years after having RAI for Graves disease in 2004 that are not thyroid savvy.LOL

Oh my brain is a little foggy too. So if this sounds stupid, you know why.

Yes that is true that she thinks anything in the range is okay. Actually I am one that feels great when Ft4 is in the upper 1/3 of the range. It makes my Ft3 go up.

Rule of thumb is usually for FT4 to be around mid range and for FT3 to be in the upper 1/3 of its range.

If your doctor is receptive to learning new things, it can't hurt to take a copy of something that might help. Many doctors get angry/offended when we try to tell them something they don't know.

It's important to get FT3 tested every time you have FT4 and TSH. She's apparently only seeing that your levels are "in range", not considering whether or not they are optimal for you.
