Radio active iodine

In the 1970 I drank radio active iodine for my thyroid and since then I have been fine with medication. Could this be the cause of my hearing loss.  I have lost hearing in both of my ears and get a hearing aid next week.  But today I cannot hear over the phone and I was able to until yesterday.
Thanks,
R

I'm not sure about the hearing loss.  I have been treated for Hyperthyroidism for the past 13 months.  My ears have been ringing off and on or about 18 months.  Have been told that could be due to the thyroid disease.

Not sure the radio active iodine cause your hearing loss or the thyroid disease itself.

This is a great website and it has been very informative and supportive.  Good luck......
