How long does methimazole take to show results in Blood work?

I wanted to know if there was a set amount of time it takes for methimazole to work. Ive read 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. Has there been a study shown that had methimazole work in 4 weeks? Also, at what dosage would one be able to see results taking methimazole for 4 weeks?

From the research I've done, I understand that it can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to months, depending on the dosage, frequency, and the person.

There is no set dosage that applies to everyone.  Your dosage is set by your doctor, depending on your own situation.  It's, typically, based on your labs (Free T4, Free T3 and TSH) and symptoms.

Others on the forum have, usually, been prescribed 5 or 10 mg once or twice/day.  Symptoms and labs must be watched carefully to make sure you don't swing the other way and go hypo.

Here are my blood work results from last month

T3, Total Range = 87 - 190 ng/dL. Results = 281 ng/dL

Free Thyroxine  Range =  0.60 - 1.80 ng/dL.
Results = 2.63 ng/dL

TSH was <0.01 uIU/mL (undetectable)

Is there a way to discern what the dosage should be, based on those labs? Also, resting HR is 95 (upon awakening) and avg 105 resting during the day.
