"Thyroid results" is not a test, but I'm sure from the result and the reference range, that it's a TSH test. TSH is a pituitary hormone that signals the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones, T4 and some T3.

At any rate, your TSH is over the reference range, indicating that you might be hypothyroid.  Do you have symptoms, other than the swallowing issue?
If so, which ones?

Sounds like you might have some thyroiditis going on and a thyroid ultrasound would be in order, to determine if your thyroid is swollen/inflamed.

There's a good chance you have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and you really should have antibody tests done, as well. Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease in which the body sees the thyroid as foreign and produces antibodies to destroy it. As the destruction progresses, your thyroid produces less and less hormones and you will become more and more hypo. Hashimoto's requires a medication for life.

Will your doctor perform necessary tests?  You still need the Free T3 and Free T4, along with the thyroid antibody tests, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOab) and Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TGab). You need both of the antibody tests, because either one can diagnose Hashimoto's.

If your doctor won't order these tests for you, you should find another asap.

Lymph nodes are not the same as glands.  Do you have a suspected thyroid problem?

Have you had any thyroid testing done?  The first tests you need at TSH, Free T3 and Free T4.

If you had a staph infection 3 weeks ago, you could still have trouble swallowing, from that.

If you can post thyroid blood test results, we'd be able to help you much better.  Be sure to include reference ranges with any results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
