Hyperthyroidism and Eye Problems

Since being diagnosed and starting treatment for Graves Disease/Hyperthyroidism I have developed chronic "dry eye".  Anyone else have problems and what are you doing about it?  The Optomistrist has me on 3 different eye drops and an Omega-3 Capsule.  The red in my eye is starting to clear up.

Is the really a chronic issue or does it get better?

Thanks for the feed back.  The Omega-3 capsules have 1000mg each of Flaxseed.  Must be something to that.  Will keep taking them.

The redness usually goes away, but the dry eye might stay around awhile. I take flaxseed oil everyday which helps as well as staying well hydrated- but eye drops are a way of life. It does get better, my eyes function almost normally but wearing contacts is very hard and my eyes are usually more dry the next day and flying doesn't help matters, so I use more drops during flights.
