Hypothyroid/Regular Period

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about three weeks ago. I haven't had a regular period since I got of the BC pill about a year ago. My doctor said that my lack of getting my period can be due to my thyroid. Has anyone else had this issue? How long before you got your period? I starting spotting about three days ago, but that is all. Usually my period spots for about a day and then I get my period full on, but not this time. Is this normal? Any insight would help...

Usually with hypothyroid comes heavy periods, and lack of periods tends to go along with hyperthyroid. But all of us are very different sometimes with our thyroid symptoms! lol
I would also ask your gyno about this since you are on BC and maybe it is the wrong one for you and could be causing this.
