Hypothyroid and supplementing with B12

I really want to raise my B12 levels to the top of the range but every time I take B12 I get severe anxiety.  I have been using methylcobalamin and I've tried 1000 mcgs, 500 mcgs, 250 mcgs; I've used Vegan and not vegan.  Has anyone experienced this?  If so, how did you get your b12 levels up?  I notice when I take my b50 complex which only has 50 mcg of cobalamin I don't get anxiety but that's no where near enough to raise my b12 ( In March it was 428) and when I take dessicated liver pills I don't get anxiety but am not comfortable with the liver pills because of the iron content.

I have read increased sensitivity to medications is a possible symptom of hypothyroidism.

Interesting...just switched to leovxyl and raised dose to 88 mcg - can now take B12 with no anxiety!

Thanks.  Guess I will just try to consume more B12. in it's natural state.  Hopefully as my symptoms improve I will be able to take synthetic B12

Anxiety is a possible side effect of too much synthetic vitamin B12. There are no toxic or adverse side effects associated with large intake of natural B12.
I've read there are no known side effects of desiccated liver but it would be recommended to avoid this product if you have an iron metabolism disorder.

Wanted to ask this also - do you think the anxiety from B12 is from my thryoid levels still not being optimal for me?  If so, should I wait and then start to supplement with B12?
